Limassol District Court sentences man to 24 months for burglary and theft

The specific case involved a residence in Limassol, where items valued at €4,400 were stolen on December 13, 2025, while the owners were in Nicosia. During the trial, the prosecution established that the property was an actively used family residence rather than an abandoned building. In a separate set of reports, a 34-year-old suspect, identified as a serial burglar linked to over 13 cases, was arrested in Mouttagiaka following a citizen pursuit and police intervention. This suspect allegedly used a ruse involving room rental inquiries to scout homes before committing burglaries, with stolen goods often involving a 53-year-old jeweler. The 34-year-old was apprehended after attempting to flee and sustaining injuries during a fall from a wall.
