A by-election for the position of deputy mayor of Aglantzia took place on June 28, 2026, following the resignation of Andreas Constantinou, who was elected to parliament on May 24, 2026. The two independent candidates contesting the seat are Prokopis Prokopiou and Andri Hadjiandreou. A total of 15,182 registered voters were eligible to vote, including 167 EU citizens and 23 displaced voters. The polling process involved 26 polling stations distributed across six schools in the municipality. Voting began at 7:00 and concluded at 18:00, with a scheduled one-hour break between 12:00 and 13:00. The official result was expected to be announced by 20:30.
