Sculpture stolen from Filippos Yiapanis park in Limassol
The sculpture 'Isorropia' by artist Filippos Yiapanis was stolen from his private park in Fasoula, Limassol. The artwork, which depicts a mother with two children, was removed between Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Mr. Yiapanis noted that he had just completed the patina process on the piece. He stated that the theft appeared targeted because eight other sculptures remained at the site. The artist believes he has captured footage of a suspect vehicle on his security cameras. He plans to file an official report with the police once the vehicle's license plate numbers are identified. Mr. Yiapanis has announced a reward of 5,000 euros for information leading to the return of the sculpture.
