Cyprus University of Technology rankings update

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) has improved its position in the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, moving from the 601-800 bracket in 2025 to the 301-400 range globally. Within this ranking, the university achieved two top-100 positions globally: 34th in Zero Hunger and 89th in Affordable and Clean Energy. The university also ranks first among participating institutions in Cyprus and Greece. Additionally, the university maintained its presence in the QS World University Rankings 2026, placing in the 701-710 category. This placement identifies the institution within the top 8% of the 8,808 evaluated universities worldwide. As an institution with fewer than 5,000 students, CUT had to meet specific criteria for small-scale universities to qualify. The evaluation highlights strengths in internationalization, research activity, sustainability, and educational environment.
