Woman arrested after stabbing partner in Thessaloniki

A 29-year-old Romanian national was arrested in Thessaloniki following a violent incident involving her 24-year-old Greek partner. The event took place at approximately 10 a.m. in an apartment located in the Ano Poli district. According to police reports, the woman attacked the man with a knife, causing serious injuries. The victim was transported to a hospital and underwent emergency surgery, suffering at least two wounds, one of which was in the thoracic area. The suspect claims the act was committed in self-defense, alleging that she had been assaulted by her partner prior to the stabbing. Police have taken the woman into custody and an official investigation into the circumstances of the incident is currently ongoing.
