Update on road maintenance and infrastructure projects in Cyprus

The Department of Public Works has announced several road maintenance projects across Cyprus. From May 20 to May 25, a 200-meter stretch of the Nicosia to Limassol highway near Parekklisia and Agios Tychonas will be partially closed daily from 10:00 to 14:00 for paving. Additionally, maintenance in the Limassol to Paphos tunnels is scheduled: the direction toward Limassol will be closed from June 3 to June 7, and the direction toward Paphos from June 10 to June 14, both between 08:00 and 19:00. Roadwork also continues near the Salt Lake until May 31. In Paphos, local authorities are seeking assistance from President Nicos Anastasiades to resume a stalled project connecting the airport to the tourist area, which has been delayed since 1977 due to environmental concerns. Meanwhile, the public information portal traffic4cyprus.org.cy offers traffic maps and routing, although its public transport planning feature is reportedly non-functional for regions outside Nicosia.
