Robotex Cyprus 2026 to be held in Nicosia

The 9th Robotex Cyprus educational and athletic robotics competition is scheduled for June 27 and 28, 2026. The event will take place at the University of Cyprus Sports Center in Nicosia. Dr. Panikos Masouras, Secretary of the Cyprus Computer Society and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, reported over 700 registrations, representing 137 organizations. This edition is the largest since the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting significant growth in the local robotics sector over the last decade. Participants include children, youth, and adults competing in categories such as line following, sumo, bowling, archery, shot put, and rally. Additional activities include drone operations and programming, drone football, and human-robot chess matches. The event aims to promote skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving through STEM education. The Cyprus News Agency (CNA) is the official media sponsor for the event.
