Athina Onassis horse show renamed for 2024 season

The annual CSI5* equestrian competition, previously known as the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show, took place from June 11 to 14, 2024, at Pampelonne Beach in Saint Tropez, France. This year, the event underwent a rebranding and was officially titled the Longines Global Champions Tour of Ramatuelle/Saint Tropez. The name of the heiress Athina Onassis was removed from the official title of the tournament. The event was established in 2007 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and is organized in collaboration with Jan Tops. Anastasia Nielsen secured victory in the Grand Prix competition during the event. The change in the branding of the high-profile tournament has prompted speculation in the media regarding the professional trajectory of Athina Onassis. The competition remains part of the international Longines Global Champions Tour series.
