Cyprus expresses solidarity following earthquakes in Venezuela

Following two earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 25, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus has expressed its condolences for the loss of life and significant destruction. While some reports suggest a toll of 164 deaths and 971 injuries, official international figures are still being assessed. Nicosia has confirmed that, as of now, no Cypriot citizens have been reported affected by the disaster. The Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the situation through its relevant consular authorities.
