Cyprus Tennis Federation appoints Spanish coaches for national padel teams

The Cyprus Tennis Federation (OAK), through its Padel Committee, has appointed Spanish coaches Pablo Bustamante and Daniel Perdomo Marrero as federal coaches. The two coaches will be responsible for the training and competitive preparation of all Cyprus national padel teams, including boys', girls', men's, and women's divisions. A centralized training session for the junior national teams took place on Sunday, June 21, at the Green Padel facilities in Limassol. These athletes are currently preparing for their debut at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup, scheduled to be held in Portugal from June 27 to July 4, 2026. This event marks the first participation of a Cypriot team in this international tournament. The Federation aims to systematically develop the sport and strengthen Cyprus's presence in international competitions through this strategic hiring. The move follows recent growth in the popularity of padel within the country.
