Iuri Medeiros linked to Cyprus clubs Apollon and AEL
Portuguese winger Iuri Medeiros, aged 31, is reportedly set to continue his career in the Cypriot league after terminating his contract with the Hungarian club Ujpest. Recent reports from the Portuguese outlet A Bola indicate that both Apollon Limassol and AEL Limassol are competing to sign the player. Medeiros, who recorded 15 appearances, three goals, and two assists during the last season in Hungary, is expected to make a decision on his next team within the next few days. Throughout his career, the winger has played for various clubs, including Sporting CP, Braga, Legia Warsaw, and Nuremberg. He is primarily a right winger but is capable of playing on the left flank. Despite local speculation suggesting a fierce competition between the two Limassol clubs, some reports indicate that the situation regarding his signing remains fluid. Medeiros has represented Portugal at various youth levels and earned one senior national team cap in a friendly match against Mexico.
