Yuri Medeiros enters transfer talks with Cypriot clubs Apollon and AEL
Portuguese winger Yuri Medeiros, 31, is reportedly set to continue his career in Cyprus following his departure from the Hungarian club Ujpest. According to reports from the Portuguese outlet A Bola, both Apollon Limassol and AEL Limassol have expressed significant interest in signing the player. Medeiros, a left-footed winger, began his career at Sporting Lisbon and has played for various clubs, including Genoa, Legia Warsaw, Braga, and Al-Nasr. During his time at Ujpest this season, he recorded 15 appearances and scored three goals. His most notable tenure was at Braga, where he made over 100 appearances. He also earned one cap for the Portuguese national team in a friendly against Mexico during the 2015-2016 season while on loan at Moreirense. As of now, the player has not officially signed with either Cypriot team, and the competition between the two Limassol-based clubs remains ongoing.
