Pancyprian examinations conclude with results expected by late July

The Pancyprian examinations for university admission concluded on Friday with the final core mathematics paper, which was taken by 2,006 candidates. According to Socrates Mylonas, head of the examinations service, a total of 5,139 candidates participated in this year's process, including 4,798 graduating students and 341 graduates from previous years. Authorities hope to announce the results for university placements in Cyprus by July 24, with placements for Greek universities following a few days later. Mylonas confirmed that the examination period proceeded smoothly without significant issues, and a single suspected cheating incident was investigated but ultimately cleared. While students expressed mixed reactions regarding the difficulty of the mathematics exam, officials maintained that the assessment process was conducted fairly to ensure reliable ranking for public universities. Medical school at the University of Cyprus remains the most popular first choice for candidates, followed by Computer Science and Accounting.
