Ammochostos District Local Government Organization to implement new permit review policy

The Ammochostos District Local Government Organization (EOA) announced a new policy for processing planning and building permit applications effective August 1, 2026. The core of this policy is the introduction of a strict chronological order for reviewing applications based on the date of receipt. Applications will be categorized by development type, including hotel/tourism, residential up to four units, residential exceeding four units, commercial/industrial, and special cases. Additionally, the system will distinguish between physical files received before July 1, 2024, and electronic applications received on or after that date. This measure is intended to ensure transparency and equal treatment across all categories of development. The organization stated that it remains committed to its ongoing modernization and service reform objectives.
