Turkish Football Federation requests replay of World Cup match against Paraguay

The Turkish side bases this request on an incident involving Paraguayan player Matias Galarza, who scored the winning goal. During the match, the referee dropped a timing device, which Galarza briefly picked up and placed on his wrist while joking. The Turkish team claims that because Galarza was already on a yellow card, this action should have resulted in a second yellow card and subsequent dismissal. They argue that the referee's failure to penalize the player constitutes biased officiating. FIFA has yet to officially respond to this formal request for a match replay.
