APOEL reaches transfer ban settlement and reports strong season ticket sales

APOEL FC has officially resolved its dispute with former player Youssef El Arabi, resulting in the lifting of the club's transfer ban. The settlement involved an upfront payment followed by a series of installments. Club officials expressed gratitude to the player and his representatives, Akim Benali and Antonis Rikkas, for the cooperation. Simultaneously, the club reported that season ticket sales have surpassed 5,500, a significant increase compared to the 3,000 sold during the same period last year. Financial reports indicate that approximately €900,698 from ticket revenue has been allocated to cover debts, including payments to former players and coaches, as well as operational costs and academy expenses. The club management, led by Haris Photiou, is focusing on financial restructuring amid ongoing efforts to stabilize the organization. Additionally, the team is integrating several young Cypriot players into the roster, supported by experienced leaders such as Pieros Sotiriou and Konstantinos Laifis.
