APOEL settles debt with Youssef El Arabi and achieves season ticket milestone
APOEL FC has officially resolved its financial dispute with player Youssef El Arabi, resulting in the lifting of a transfer ban. The club reached a settlement agreement involving a significant initial payment followed by installments, facilitated by representatives Akim Benali and Antonis Rikkas. Following this, the board disclosed that revenue from the first 4,500 season tickets, totaling €900,698, was used to cover various obligations. Specifically, €518,813 was paid toward debts to former players and coaches, €203,073 for salaries, €82,300 for operational costs, €62,712 for team preparations, and €33,800 for the academy. As of early July 2026, the club has surpassed 5,000 season ticket sales. The board expressed gratitude to the fans for their support, noting that the collective effort is vital for the club's stability ahead of its centennial anniversary.
