Greek basketball Super Cup to be held in Cyprus

The Greek Basketball League (ESAKE) has decided to move the annual Super Cup tournament from Rhodes to Cyprus for the first time. The event is scheduled to take place on September 26 and 27. Limassol has been selected as the host city, specifically at the Spyros Kyprianou Athletic Center. Four teams will participate in the competition: Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, AEK, and PAOK. This decision marks the end of a multi-year run during which the tournament was hosted in Rhodes. While various sources confirm the selection of Cyprus, some reports mention that four other Greek cities had initially competed for the hosting rights. The tournament serves as the official opening event for the Greek basketball season.
