Residential fire in Strovolos, Nicosia

On Saturday, June 27, a fire broke out in a private residence in Strovolos, Nicosia. The incident was reported to the Fire Service at 15:13. The fire occurred in the ground floor of a two-story building that also includes a basement. Firefighters utilized respiratory equipment and water hoses to extinguish the flames and subsequently ventilated the premises. The kitchen area sustained extensive damage, and the entire interior of the house was affected by heat and smoke. According to the Fire Service spokesperson, Andreas Kettis, the fire was caused by a cooking utensil left unattended. No individuals were reported to be in danger or injured during the incident.
