AEK Athens ramps up transfer activity under Javier Ribalta

Football director Javier Ribalta is currently managing multiple negotiations in parallel to avoid the delays experienced in previous seasons. The club’s primary objectives include signing a central midfielder with technical qualities similar to Orbelin Pineda and Razvan Marin, as well as a starting-caliber central defender to compete with Harold Moukoudi and Relvas. Additionally, the team is looking for a left-sided forward. Following the earlier acquisition of Oleksandr Zubkov in June, the management expects further progress on new signings within the next 24 to 48 hours. While some reports suggest a specific deal could be finalized starting June 29, the club is generally aiming to fill these key positions before the preseason begins. Beyond these priority signings, AEK intends to continue monitoring younger prospects for complementary roles.
