David Carmo returns to Olympiacos

Angolan central defender David Carmo arrived in Athens early Monday morning to finalize his transfer to Olympiacos. This marks the player's third stint with the Piraeus club. Previously, Carmo played for Olympiacos on loan from Porto between January and summer 2024, and during the 2024-25 season as a loan from Nottingham Forest. The 26-year-old athlete, who will turn 27 on July 19, spent the last season at the Spanish club Real Oviedo, where he recorded 22 appearances and one goal. Upon his arrival at Athens International Airport, Carmo expressed his commitment to the club's goals and coach Jose Luis Mendilibar. The player emphasized his desire to secure victories across all competitions. This transfer brings the defender back to the team for another tenure in the upcoming season.
