David Carmo returns to Olympiacos on a permanent transfer

Olympiacos FC has officially announced the signing of Angolan central defender David Carmo. Unlike his two previous spells at the club which were loan deals from Porto and Nottingham Forest, this move is a permanent transfer. The 27-year-old defender signed a three-year contract, following a recommendation from head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar. Born in Portugal on July 19, 1999, Carmo previously contributed to the club's UEFA Europa Conference League title and domestic success. He spent the most recent season on loan at Spanish club Real Oviedo, where he recorded 22 appearances in La Liga. The player arrived in Greece on Monday morning to finalize the deal. While official club statements did not specify the contract duration, reports confirm a three-year agreement. Carmo is the fourth summer addition for the Piraeus-based team as they prepare for the new season.
