Marko Livaja removed from Hajduk Split training camp in Slovenia

Hajduk Split has officially removed forward Marko Livaja from their pre-season training camp in Bled, Slovenia. The decision follows an incident involving eight players, including Livaja, who went out to celebrate after the national team's victory. Upon their return, head coach Gonzalo Garcia subjected these players to an intensive physical training session while others underwent a lighter program. This action reportedly led to a verbal confrontation between the 33-year-old player and both the head coach and sporting director Robert Graf. Consequently, the club management decided to send Livaja back to Split for violating internal team regulations. While the club emphasized that the decision was made in the best interest of Hajduk, they have not yet announced further disciplinary actions. Livaja has been with the club since 2021, and last season he recorded 11 goals and 7 assists in 32 matches.
