Panathinaikos stalls negotiations for Leicester defender Victor Kristiansen
Panathinaikos has temporarily halted negotiations for the transfer of Danish defender Victor Kristiansen from Leicester City. The Greek club sought a loan deal with an optional purchase clause to mitigate risks associated with the player's recent knee injury history. Conversely, Leicester City has insisted on an immediate permanent sale, requesting a transfer fee between 5 and 6 million euros. Panathinaikos is unwilling to commit to this high-risk investment given the player's medical background. Consequently, the Greek club has begun evaluating alternative options for the left-back position to support Giorgos Kyriakopoulos. Vasilis Zagaritis is among the names under consideration as a potential reinforcement. The club aims to finalize its roster composition following recent acquisitions.
