University of Limassol holds 2026 graduation ceremony

On June 26, 2026, the University of Limassol (UoL) held its annual graduation ceremony. UoL Council Chairman Socrates Ellinas opened the event by highlighting the institution's growth from the foundations of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM). The ceremony marked the graduation of the first cohort from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as students from distance learning programmes. Minister of Labour Marinos Moushouttas attended the event representing President Nikos Christodoulides, emphasizing the university's focus on innovation, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. Rector Professor Theodore Panayotou urged the graduates to maintain high ethical standards in their professional careers. Valedictorian Maria Vryoni delivered a speech on behalf of the graduating class, describing the university experience as a lifelong learning process. The event served as a formal milestone for the institution following its recent transformation from CIIM.
