University of Cyprus MBA students participate in Erasmus+ ESG program in Spain

The MBA program of the University of Cyprus participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled 'ESG Investment and Finance: A Credible Path for Sustainable Investments and Projects'. The event was held at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain, from June 15 to 19, 2026. Students from Cyprus, Croatia, Spain, and Poland gathered to study Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and sustainable finance. The curriculum integrated online preparatory sessions with an intensive week of in-person lectures, workshops, and case studies. Topics covered included ESG investment portfolios, regulatory frameworks, ethical banking, energy transition, decarbonization, and impact investing. Participants worked in multicultural teams to address real-world sustainability challenges and develop practical solutions. The program focused on experiential learning, critical thinking, and international academic collaboration. This initiative provided students with opportunities to gain expertise in corporate ESG reporting and risk management through direct engagement with peers from different nations.
