Cypriot Foreign Minister holds talks with Lebanon and Bahrain counterparts

On Monday, Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos held telephone discussions with the Foreign Ministers of Lebanon, Youssef Raji, and Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. The conversations focused on current regional developments. Regarding Lebanon, Kombos addressed the US-brokered framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel, emphasizing that its effective implementation is crucial for de-escalation and restoring regional security. He stated that Lebanese state institutions should be able to exercise full authority across the country. Furthermore, he highlighted the necessity for all involved parties to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon. In the conversation with the Bahraini Foreign Minister, the discussion took place within the context of Bahrain’s presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Cypriot presidency of the EU Council. Kombos expressed Cyprus's support for Bahrain and reiterated a shared commitment to diplomacy and regional stability.
