Pafos FC acquires Samy Mmaee on loan from Dinamo Zagreb
Pafos FC has officially announced the signing of Moroccan central defender Samy Mmaee on a loan deal from GNK Dinamo Zagreb for the 2026/27 season, with an option to purchase. The 29-year-old international joins the team to strengthen the defense following his previous experience in leagues across Europe, including stints with Ferencváros and Qarabag. Mmaee is the latest addition to the squad, which is currently undergoing training in Austria under coach Ricardo Sa Pinto. Due to injuries to goalkeepers Charalambos Kyriakidis and Jay Gorter, the club is also actively seeking an additional goalkeeper for the new season. This signing has filled the final spot for a foreign player in List A, prompting the club to consider potential squad adjustments. The team has been playing friendlies in Austria and is scheduled to travel to Slovakia on July 15 for further preparations. Other news confirms that the club is also evaluating a potential transfer for Derrick Luckassen, while rumors regarding Afimico Pululu appear to be fading.
