Eurobank announces one billion euro digital transformation strategy
On June 29, Eurobank presented its 'Banking Forward' strategy at the Eurobank Campus in Nea Ionia, Athens. The event, attended by Chairman George P. Zanias and deputy CEOs Constantinos Vassiliou, Iakovos Giannaklis, and Stavros Ioannou, outlined a one-billion-euro technology investment program for the 2025–2028 period. The initiative focuses on enhancing cloud infrastructure, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and mobile banking applications. According to the bank, 96% of its transactions are currently conducted digitally, with daily volume exceeding one million transactions. Digital mortgage services are being introduced via the mobile application, and mobile app users surpassed e-banking users in the first five months of 2026. Furthermore, the bank announced an expanded partnership with Mastercard to provide cardholders with access to the 'Priceless' platform, which includes entertainment, sports, and music experiences. This investment represents the largest technological commitment in the history of the institution.
