XM Group announces reconstruction projects in Limassol wildfire-affected communities
One year after the deadly wildfires of July 23, 2025, which claimed two lives and caused widespread destruction in mountainous Limassol, the XM Group announced the next phase of its 'Revive Limassol' initiative. The company previously pledged 5 million euros to assist the affected areas. Following initial direct cash payments to families who lost their homes, the company is now allocating over 1 million euros toward four reconstruction projects. These projects are located in the communities of Souni-Zanakia, Agios Ambrosios, Agios Therapon, and Vouni. According to co-CEO Stavri Morti, the plans were developed following consultations with local residents and village leaders to address specific needs. Furthermore, the initiative includes the installation of ten portable water tanks to improve future fire protection in the region. The projects aim to revitalize these communities and restore long-term resilience.
