Apollon Limassol completes training camp as transfer efforts continue
Apollon Limassol has returned to Cyprus after completing a training camp in the Netherlands where they achieved three victories in as many friendly matches, keeping a clean sheet in each. Coach Hernan Losada emphasized that while these results are encouraging, the team requires further reinforcement, specifically targeting two central defenders, a forward, and a winger. The club is currently addressing defensive gaps caused by health issues concerning Connor Goldson. Recent reports indicate that Apollon is in advanced negotiations to sign 25-year-old Austrian defender Emanuel Aiwu. The club also hired Alexis Perikleous as a rehabilitation trainer to bolster the technical staff. Despite some failed transfer attempts involving five players, the team prepares for their European debut on July 23. A final friendly match against AEK Larnaca is scheduled for July 16 at the Alphamega Stadium.
