Global record of new millionaires in 2025

The 2025 Global Wealth Report published by UBS indicates a record increase in the number of millionaires worldwide. Nearly one million people reached the one-million-dollar threshold in 2025, averaging approximately 2,600 new millionaires per day. This figure accounts for both financial assets and real estate, minus debt. The report, which analyzed 56 countries, notes that the United States accounts for nearly half of this growth with over 440,000 new millionaires. Other major regions include mainland China, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Total individual wealth grew by 10.8% globally, marking the fastest rate of growth since 2017. UBS clarifies that these valuations include primary residences, meaning being a millionaire in dollars does not necessarily imply equivalent liquid cash in a bank account.
