Limassol municipality signs €7.9 million road infrastructure contract
The Municipality of Limassol has signed a contract exceeding €7.9 million plus VAT for road paving, repairs, and signage. The project has been awarded to Cyfield Asphalt Co Ltd and Araco Construction CY Ltd. Mayor Giannis Armeftis attended the signing ceremony to mark the start of this large-scale upgrade of the city's road network. Work is already underway in several neighborhoods and is scheduled for completion by November 2026. Interventions will cover major arterial roads and various districts, including Agios Nektarios, Agios Nikolaos, Kapsalos, Apostoloi Petros and Pavlos, Mesa Geitonia, Agia Napa, Katholiki, Agia Fyla, Agios Antonios, Djami Tzedit, Arnaut, Agios Ioannis, Agios Spyridonas, Omonoia, Zakaki, Tsiflikoudia, and the Industrial Area. This project is part of a significantly increased budget for road surfacing, which rose from €1.6 million in previous years to €4.3 million in 2025 and €8.2 million in 2026.
