Cyprus industrial sector reports price and production updates for 2026

The Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) released industrial data for April and May 2026. In May, the Index of Industrial Output Prices reached 113.4 units, reflecting a 3.0 percent monthly increase and a 2.5 percent annual rise. From January to May 2026, the index showed a cumulative increase of 0.6 percent compared to 2025. Specifically in May, the electricity supply sector saw a 13.4 percent monthly surge, while manufacturing grew by 0.8 percent. For April 2026, a separate report noted the Industrial Production Index reached 113.4 units, an increase of 1.4 percent. The manufacturing sector's output rose by 0.6 percent year-on-year in April, with strong performances in basic metals and non-metallic mineral products. Cumulative data for the first four months of 2026 show a production increase of 1.6 percent relative to the same period in 2025.
