AEL Limassol signs Bosnian forward Hamza Catakovic

AEL Limassol officially announced the acquisition of 29-year-old Bosnian striker Hamza Catakovic on July 2, 2026. The player has signed a two-year contract that will keep him with the club until 2028. Catakovic joins the team following a two-year tenure at the Turkish club Esenler Erokspor, where he recorded 71 appearances, 24 goals, and 12 assists. Throughout his career, he has played for clubs including Trencin, CSKA Sofia, and FK Sarajevo, totaling 331 appearances and 131 career goals. The club management views him as a key addition to bolster their offensive line following recent performance issues. His signing is one of seven permitted slots for non-EU players at AEL.
