Nea Salamina announces two major squad reinforcements

Nea Salamina Famagusta has finalized the acquisition of two defensive midfielders to bolster its squad. The club confirmed the return of 29-year-old French defensive midfielder Aloïs Confais on a one-year deal. Confais previously played for Nea Salamina during the 2020/21 season and most recently represented Ethnikos Achnas. Additionally, 32-year-old Spanish defensive midfielder Jordi Quintillà has joined the club on loan from FC St. Gallen. His loan agreement is set to last until the end of the 2026-2027 season. Quintillà, brother of Xavi Quintillà, brings international experience from leagues in Switzerland, France, and the United States. Club official Giorgos Michail confirmed that the negotiations for the Spaniard took place over two weeks. Nea Salamina continues its strategic planning as it aims to improve its performance in the upcoming season.
