The New Movement of Dance Groups, Dancers and Choreographers of Cyprus has published a hypothetical open call for the 2026 Cyprus Choreography Platform. The initiative is a symbolic protest against the Deputy Ministry of Culture's failure to announce the official program, which is significantly delayed compared to previous years when calls were released in May. By the end of June, neither the Choreography Platform nor the Terpsichore program, which are essential for the contemporary dance community, have been officially launched.
