Delivery driver robbed and stabbed in Limassol

On Wednesday at approximately 1:30 am, a 23-year-old food delivery driver was attacked by three unknown individuals on Omonias Avenue in Limassol. The perpetrators demanded the food the victim was carrying, and upon his refusal, they assaulted him using their hands and an iron object. During the altercation, the assailants allegedly stabbed the victim in the abdomen with a knife before stealing €150 in cash and fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to Limassol General Hospital, where he was treated for abrasions, swelling to his right eye, and a superficial abdominal wound; he remains hospitalized. During the subsequent police investigation, authorities discovered that the victim was residing in the Republic of Cyprus without valid documentation. Consequently, the 23-year-old was arrested for the offense of illegal residence. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently continuing its investigation into the robbery.
