Panathinaikos acquires 19-year-old midfielder Aidon Shehu from Hull City
Panathinaikos has officially announced the signing of 19-year-old Albanian midfielder Aidon Shehu from Hull City on a three-year contract. Born on October 11, 2006, Shehu previously played for Southend United before moving to Hull City’s youth setup. The player, who has recorded 10 caps and one goal for the Albania U21 national team, is viewed as a long-term investment for the club. While Panathinaikos officials stated the deal is worth approximately 1 million euros, foreign reports suggested a significantly higher transfer fee of 2.6 million pounds. Hull City had reportedly offered the player a contract extension prior to his departure. It is expected that Shehu will be sent out on loan to gain further first-team experience. This acquisition represents the club's eighth summer transfer addition.
