Panathinaikos defeats Helmond Sport in friendly match
Panathinaikos secured a 4-0 victory against Dutch side Helmond Sport in their first friendly match of the preseason. Under coach Jacob Neestrup, the team utilized a 4-2-3-1 formation and implemented nine substitutions at halftime. Taborda and Tetei scored in the 6th and 9th minutes respectively, while Antino added two goals in the second half. This match serves as preparation for the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round against Paksi. Future friendlies are scheduled against Ajax on July 4, Grasshoppers on July 11, and Rapid Vienna on July 15. Players Tsapra, Kamara, and Chavez made their unofficial debuts, while De Vrij, Rastoder, and Dessers did not participate. Pelistri was absent from the squad due to an extended leave of absence.
