Olympiacos owner presents redevelopment plan for Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium
On Thursday, July 2, at 18:00, Evangelos Marinakis will host a press conference at the Piraeus Municipal Theatre to unveil plans for the new Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium. The project aims to increase the facility's capacity to 53,000 seats with an estimated budget of at least 250 million euros. Marinakis intends to fund the construction entirely through private resources of the Olympiacos football club. Regulatory approval is still required to finalize the project, specifically regarding an increase in the building's height limit from 40 to 52 meters. Simultaneously, the club is undergoing management shifts in its sporting department. Antonio Miguel Cardoso has joined the recruitment team, collaborating with Jose Luis Mendilibar and Darko Kovacevic to expedite ongoing transfers. Key targets for the team include Joel Roca, Petar Stanic, and Domingos Duarte.
