Greek actress Jenny Zacharopoulou passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 2, at the age of 85, following a brief hospitalization. Born in 1941 in Lefkada, she was a graduate of the Katseli Drama School. Her professional career began under director Dimitris Rontiris, with whom she toured internationally for three years. She became a prominent figure in Greek cinema, working alongside stars like Aliki Vougiouklaki and Dimitris Papamihail during the golden era of the industry. Her notable filmography includes titles such as 'I gyni na fovatai ton andra' (1965), 'Orototis miden' (1969), and 'Troxonomos... Varvara' (1981). Furthermore, she was a well-known presence on television, appearing in popular series including 'Gioukerman', 'Pantheoi', 'I geitonia mas', and 'Oi frouroi tis Achaias'. She remained active in the artistic community until the final years of her life.
