Cyprus police helicopter tests reactivated Presidential Palace helipad

On Thursday morning, a Cyprus Police helicopter named 'Achilleas' conducted a trial landing at the reactivated helipad located at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia. The facility, which had been serving as a parking area for several years despite existing pavement markings, was repurposed to improve operational readiness and emergency response. Members of the Presidential Guard and the flight crew participated in the exercise to familiarize themselves with the site and ensure safety protocols.
