Bank of Cyprus receives two awards at EMEA Finance Achievement Awards 2025
The Bank of Cyprus was awarded two titles at the 2025 EMEA Finance Achievement Awards for its €300 million Tier 2 bond issuance completed in September 2025. The bank was recognized as the Best Financial Institution Bond (Mid-Cap) for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as the Best Financial Institution Bond in South Eastern Europe. This marks the third consecutive year that the bank has received recognition from EMEA Finance magazine. The bond issuance attracted over 100 institutional investors and was oversubscribed by more than ten times, with total demand exceeding €3 billion. Bank of Cyprus Treasury Director Despina Kyriakidou noted that the awards demonstrate continued international investor confidence in the institution. The achievement is cited by the bank as evidence of its strong financial position and long-term development trajectory.
