Morfosis school faces license revocation over facility certification

The Cypriot Ministry of Education has revoked the operating license for the private Morfosis school in Kolossi due to the absence of required building suitability certificates. The Ministry has advised parents to transfer their children to public or other approved private schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. In response, the school management stated that the issue is purely administrative and concerns the finalization of usage permits for its temporary facilities. The administration maintains that the measure is temporary and does not affect the quality of education or student safety. School officials are currently coordinating with state authorities to resolve the legal requirements as soon as possible. Meanwhile, construction on a new permanent educational complex is proceeding on schedule, with an expected opening for the 2027-2028 school year. The school has been operating for over 13 years and denies that the current situation impacts its professional standards.
