Police operation in Limassol results in 34 arrests

On a single day, the Cyprus Police and the Deputy Ministry of Migration conducted an operation in Limassol to combat illegal residency and unauthorized employment. Authorities arrested a total of 34 individuals during the operation. Twenty of these individuals were taken into custody for illegal residency in the Republic of Cyprus, and deportation procedures have been initiated for them. An additional 14 individuals were arrested for unauthorized employment working for three separate employers. All 14 workers and their three employers will face legal proceedings regarding the illegal employment charges. Furthermore, the three employers were issued administrative fines totaling 42,000 euros. The police confirmed that these operations are part of an ongoing effort to enforce migration and labor laws across the country.
