Geovane Meurer returns to Coritiba following APOEL loan
Brazilian midfielder Geovane Meurer has officially returned to his parent club, Coritiba, following the conclusion of his loan spell at APOEL in Cyprus. The 24-year-old player recorded 15 appearances and scored three goals during his time with the Cypriot team. Reports from Brazil indicate that Meurer is currently undergoing physical recovery following a thigh muscle injury sustained while playing for APOEL. Coritiba holds his contract until the end of 2027, but a decision on whether he will be integrated into the squad or loaned out again has not yet been finalized. Local reports in Cyprus described his performance during the season as mediocre, noting that APOEL has not expressed interest in extending the loan. Prior to his move to Europe in August 2025, Meurer participated in seven matches for the team in Parana. His future remains uncertain as he continues his rehabilitation process.
