Cyprus Olympic Committee president visits gymnasts at Byron training center

On Tuesday, June 30, the President of the Cyprus Olympic Committee, George Chrysostomou, visited the Byron training center in Larnaca to oversee the final preparation of gymnasts for the Commonwealth Games. The Games in Glasgow are scheduled to begin on July 23. Chrysostomou was accompanied by the Vice President of the Cyprus Olympic Committee and the Cyprus Gymnastics Federation, Sotos Trikomitis, in the presence of Federation President Savvas Matsas. The training session involved coaches Panagiotis Petridis, Panagiotis Siippis, Herodotus Georgallas, and Plamen Petrov. The athletes training included Marios Georgiou, Ilias Georgiou, Sokratis Pilakouris, Michalis Chari, Giorgos Angonas, Neofytos Kyriakou, Kyriakos Markidis, and Georgia Charalambous. During the visit, the committee president observed the training and met with the athletes to express confidence in their preparation for the upcoming summer competitions. The committee reaffirmed its full support for both the selected athletes and the federations.
