Cyprus Foreign Minister concludes official visit to Andorra

Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos concluded his official visit to the Principality of Andorra on Thursday. During his visit, he met with his counterpart Imma Tor Faus to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and the EU-Andorra Association Agreement. Minister Kombos reaffirmed Cyprus's support for the rapid approval and signing of this agreement, citing efforts made during the recent Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU. The ministers also exchanged views on regional and international issues, and the Cypriot minister provided an update on the latest developments regarding the Cyprus problem. During the trip, Minister Kombos was received by the Head of Government, Xavier Espot Zamora, and held meetings at the Andorran Parliament with President Carles Ensenyat and Vice President Sandra Codina. A Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Cyprus and Andorra was signed, focusing on cooperation in the fields of education, sports, and youth. This visit follows the reciprocal visit of the Andorran Foreign Minister to Cyprus in April 2024.
