International investigation exposes organized network for drug-facilitated sexual assault
An international police operation led by the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) and Europol has dismantled a global network of men who drugged and sexually abused women. The investigation, which involves law enforcement from the US, Brazil, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Hungary, was triggered by reports from German journalists in 2025 regarding an online forum. Authorities have arrested eight individuals in the UK, with 14 separate investigations currently underway globally. Investigators have identified over 270 individuals linked to the platform, where users allegedly coordinated attacks, shared instructional material, and distributed footage of the abuse. The NCA noted that perpetrators often targeted women within their own circles, frequently without the victims' knowledge of the assault. This development is being compared to the high-profile case of Gisele Pelicot, highlighting a shift from isolated incidents to coordinated digital criminal networks.
